The terms of the room.

A membership is an agreement between you and the Baaaz office. Here it is, in the plainest English we could manage. By applying, joining, or signing in, you accept it.

Membership

Baaaz is invitation-only and admission is at the office's discretion. An account is personal: it belongs to you, not to your company, and it may not be shared, sold or transferred. One person, one account, under a real name and a real business.

What you promise

That who you say you are, and what you say you do, is true.
That you will not sell from the floor at a gathering, or spam the room in messages.
That what a member shares in confidence — a number, a problem, an introduction — stays inside the room.
That you will not scrape, export or resell the directory, and will not use it to build a competing list.
That anything you publish — offers, leads, portfolio images, reviews, a member website — is yours to publish and is lawful, accurate and not misleading.

Reviews and ratings

Reviews must come from a real interaction and describe it honestly. Reviews written to settle a score, or bought, or traded, are removed. The office may hide a review while a dispute is looked at, and may remove a member who games the system.

Deals and contracts

Contracts, deal values and confirmations recorded inside Baaaz are a shared record for the two members involved. They are not a legal contract between you and Baaaz, and Baaaz is not a party to your commercial arrangements, does not guarantee payment, quality or delivery, and does not act as agent, broker or escrow. Business you do with another member is between the two of you.

Fees, renewal and cancellation

Plans, prices and what each plan unlocks are set out on the pricing page and inside Billing.
Paid memberships renew for the cycle you chose until you cancel.
You may cancel yourself at any time from Billing. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not pro-rate part-periods.
Fees are quoted in Indian rupees and are payable through our payment gateway.
Prices may change with notice. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Gatherings and workshops

Seats are limited and often waitlisted. If you cannot come, release your seat — repeatedly holding a seat and not turning up may cost you future bookings. Speaking slots are applied for, reviewed by the office, and where a fee applies it is stated before you pay. Photographs are taken at gatherings and may be used in Baaaz's own write-ups; tell the office if you'd rather not appear.

What you upload

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give Baaaz permission to store it and to display it to the people the app is meant to show it to — and, for a published member website, to the public. Upload only images you have the right to use.

Suspension and removal

The office may suspend or remove an account for harassment, misrepresentation, selling in the room, breaking confidence, non-payment, or any conduct that makes the room worse. Where it is reasonable to do so, we explain why. Removal for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Baaaz up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, Baaaz is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect loss arising from use of the app, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period.

Privacy

What we hold about you, and what we do with it, is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and law

These terms may be updated; material changes are shown to members inside the app, and new members accept the current version during onboarding. The agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
